The Answers You Need
WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY DELIVERY?
Our goal is for customers to receive orders promptly, and during the period when the products are at their best. For roasted coffee, this means receipt within 3 to 21 days of roasting.
Orders are packed within one working day of receiving the order. Delivery times are generally;
- Adelaide metropolitan area - Next working day
- Outer Adelaide area - 2 working days
- Other Australian destinations - 3 to 5 working days
WHAT IF MY ORDER DOESN'T ARRIVE AS EXPECTED?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you do not receive your delivery within the above timeframes, or have any other comments or concerns about our service or products.
We will happily replace products, or refund the purchase price, if your order does not arrive in a satisfactory condition.
At this stage, we are unable to deliver orders outside of Australia.
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Payments for purchases from our online store are processed through PayPal.
PayPal accepts all major credit cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Alternatively, you can pay directly from your Paypal account.
DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS?
Yes, we do offer gift cards for use at our Thebarton roastery. Unfortunately at this stage, gift cards cannot be used for online purchases.
HOW WILL YOU USE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?
The Difference Coffeehouse ('The Difference') is a Small Business for the purposes of the Privacy Act 1988 and is not required to comply with that Act. The Difference takes personal privacy very seriously and makes the following statements about the collection and use of Personal Information.
1. Personal information
The Difference is committed to safeguarding personal privacy. It recognises that individuals have a right to control how their personal information is collected and used. Providing personal information is an act of trust and it is taken seriously. Unless given consent to do otherwise, The Difference will only collect and use personal information as set out below.
2. Collecting personal information
The Difference will not collect or monitor any personal information about an individual without their consent. The only personal information collected is what has been provided voluntarily.

The Difference uses tracking technologies such as cookies or web beacons to make use of the website and services as convenient as possible. Cookies are pieces of information that a web site transfers to a computer's hard disk for record keeping purposes. Personal Information will be used for the following primary purpose:
- To fulfill obligations under any sale and purchase contract and/or any other contract between the individual and The Difference.
- To render services related to The Difference's business such as warranty or after sales services.
For the purpose described above, information may be shared with The Difference's group companies. Also, in order to operate the web site or deliver a service, personal information may also be shared with a service provider, a non-group company.
5. Contact by The Difference
The Difference may contact individuals using the information, which was provided by them in order to:
- Provide information that may be of interest about upgrades, new products, special offers and other matters that may be of interest.
- To send newsletters.

Individuals have the right to review the information that may be recorded on The Difference's database. Information may be reviewed by contacting The Difference.
9. The Difference and links to other web sites
The Difference may provide links to web sites outside of the The Difference site. These linked sites are not under the control of The Difference, and The Difference is not responsible for the conduct of companies linked to the The Difference web site, nor for the performance or otherwise of any content and/or software contained in such external websites.
